DOWNTOWN DALLAS MURAL INITIATIVE
Downtown Dallas, Inc. has partnered with FGIII Fine Art Productions to secure building locations throughout Downtown Dallas for large-scale digital and painted murals. The Downtown Dallas Mural Initiative will provide building owners and businesses with a direct opportunity to invest in our art community and transform our Downtown Dallas visual landscape. DDI & FGIII will collaborate with experienced muralists, painters and graphic artists to create building-specific themed mural designs and concepts.
The Downtown Dallas Mural Initiative is transparently committed to supporting Dallas artists. Our mission revolves around providing artists with legitimate opportunities that foster their artistic development and amplify the value derived from their work.
DDI and FGIII are collaborating with multiple building owners to determine mural locations and project budgets to produce wow-factor visuals that will ultimately transform and beautify our Downtown Dallas.
This is your opportunity to connect with the Downtown Dallas Mural Initiative.
“This project demonstrates what’s possible when artists, building owners, and community partners come together with a shared vision. These murals enrich the visual landscape of our city and showcases the immense talent we have here in Dallas. We’re grateful to everyone who’s played a role in bringing this to life.”
- Shalissa Perry, Chief Experience Officer, Downtown Dallas, Inc.
“Our initiative presents a fantastic opportunity, across key city locations throughout Downtown Dallas, to feature DFW's diverse artistic community by collaborating with visual artists on public art projects like murals for walls, buildings, crosswalks & intersections, digital art for window vinyl-wraps and more.”

“I am thrilled to contribute to the Downtown Mural Initiative, and I'm honored to create a piece that celebrates my faith and my city. Working alongside fellow artist ByZeneth on a large-scale mural for The Adolphus Hotel is a dream come true. I aimed to infuse the design with a Classical Renaissance feel, echoing the hotel's luxurious aesthetic.
The mural is a tribute to God's creations – humanity, Earth, and the universe. At its center is Michelangelo's Statue of David, a masterpiece of Renaissance art that represents the perfection of human form. The story of David resonates deeply with me, and I'm drawn to its themes of faith and perseverance.
Golden rings symbolize the creation of light, while silhouettes of bluebonnets represent the beauty of life on Earth, paying homage to my Texas roots. The baroque-inspired background, with its repetitive patterns, echoes the rhythms of the universe – galaxies, stars, and the infinite possibilities of creation.
This mural is my grand gesture of gratitude, a celebration of God's gifts and a testament to the power of art and faith. I hope it inspires others to reflect on the beauty and wonder of creation. A true thank you to God.”

“Manuel Herrera, a.k.a. allo, is participating in a city beautification project ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where DDI and FGIII will be installing murals across Downtown Dallas, including seven interactive pieces from Herrera celebrating local sports teams, the Dallas Cowboys, the Texas Rangers, the Dallas Stars, the Dallas Mavericks, Dallas FC, Dallas Trinity FC, and Dallas Wings. Originally tasked with five murals, the scope expanded due to the interactive nature of his work, which features an app allowing viewers to see the photos that inspired the murals by holding their phones up to the artwork. Herrera finds the project exciting because it combines technology and art, engaging the community and creating a fun, immersive experience around Dallas sports culture.”
“Downtown Dallas is commissioning dozens of local artists to create new murals ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.”

PROOF OF CONCEPT PROJECT
DDI and FGIII collaborated with Dallas artist Dora Reynosa, a.k.a. byZENETH, to launched our pilot project in December 2023. Dora designed a digital concept titled, “The Magical Cultivation”, that vinyl-wrapped a 2000+ square foot retail front at 1600 Commerce St. at S. Ervay St.
“The intention behind the “El Cultivo” design was to transfer new energy and movement onto an overlooked building within Downtown Dallas. The vibrancy of my color palette and the energy amidst the shapes and forms were created with a purpose. I wanted to cultivate an almost animated facet. My mission was to create a digital design that elevates the environment through my use of free flowing imagery that exists within itself but also has the capacity to evolve as a whole, resembling the spirit of community and the culture of our city.”
